The terms.
Plain language, no traps. These Terms of Use are the deal when you use TKO’T. Please read them, because they include important limits on our liability and on what you can expect.

1. Agreement to these terms
By downloading, installing, or using TKO’T (the apps for Mac and iPhone, the configuration profiles, and this website, together the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. “TKO’T”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the team behind TKO’T.
2. The Service, free of charge
TKO’T is a porn and distraction blocker provided free of charge. There is no premium tier, no paywall, and no subscription. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. TKO’T is a private, proprietary project, and these terms don’t grant you ownership of it.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to agree to these terms. TKO’T may be set up for a minor by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on the minor’s behalf and stays responsible for that use. If you don’t meet these requirements, please don’t use the Service.
4. Use it right
- Use TKO’T lawfully, and only to protect yourself or someone who has asked for your help (or a minor in your care), never to surveil, deceive, or control another adult without their consent.
- Don’t reverse-engineer, tamper with, or repackage the Service to defeat its safety purpose or to harm others.
- Don’t use the Service to break the law or to infringe anyone’s rights.
5. No guarantee it’s perfect
No blocker is perfect, and TKO’T is no exception. We do not guarantee that it will block every site, image, app, or workaround, that it will run without interruption, or that it won’t be affected by operating-system updates, device settings, network changes, or determined attempts to bypass it. You remain responsible for your own choices and conduct. TKO’T adds friction; it is not a wall that makes relapse impossible, and you use it at your own risk.
6. A tool, not a doctor
TKO’T is a commitment device to help you hold the line. It is not medical, psychological, or professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If addiction is affecting your health, your relationships, or your safety, please reach out to a qualified professional or a support service. Real help and TKO’T work best in the same corner.
7. Provided “as is”
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all such warranties.
8. Third parties
The Service works alongside your operating system, your network, DNS, and third-party websites and services that we don’t control. We aren’t responsible for third-party content or services, or for changes they make that affect how the Service behaves.
9. Intellectual property
The TKO’T name, logo, branding, website, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Service as intended. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from it, except where the law expressly allows.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TKO’T and the people behind it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity, or for any relapse, harm, or consequence arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to use the Service, even if we were advised such damages were possible. Because the Service is free, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TKO’T and the people behind it from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use or misuse of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another.
12. Availability and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, without notice or liability. You may stop using the Service and uninstall it at any time. The sections that by their nature should survive (including the disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and governing law) survive any termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the project grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms, which will always live here with a fresh date. If a change is material, we’ll make that clear here.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.
15. The fine print
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with the project. Together with our Privacy Policy, these terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
