Privacy, non-negotiable.
TKO’T is built to protect you, not to watch you. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect (almost nothing), what we don’t, and the rights you have.

Who we are
TKO’T (“TKO’T”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides a porn and distraction blocker for Mac and iPhone, and this website at tkot.com. For the purposes of EU/EEA data protection law (the GDPR), we act as the data controller for the limited information described below. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
The short version
- The blocker runs entirely on your device. Your screen, browsing, and activity never leave your machine and are never sent to us.
- No account, no login, no payment, no card on file.
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, trackers, or ad pixels.
- The only personal data we ever receive is what you choose to send us when you email us or use a contact form.
It runs on your device
The watcher that closes explicit windows runs locally on your own Mac and iPhone. Your screen is never uploaded, never stored on our servers, and never seen by anyone but you. Your block lists, settings, and streak data stay on your device. There is no cloud looking over your shoulder.
Information we collect
We deliberately collect as little as possible:
- The apps (Mac & iPhone): run on-device and do not transmit your personal data, browsing history, or screen contents to us.
- This website: served as static pages with self-hosted fonts, so your browser never quietly phones home to any third party when you read it. No cookies, no analytics, no third-party trackers. Like virtually every web server, our hosting provider may process standard technical request logs (such as IP address and timestamp) transiently to deliver and secure the site; we do not use these to identify or profile you.
- When you contact us (by email, or via a form such as the “build with us” page): we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and message. We use it only to read and respond to you.
Why we may process it (legal bases)
Where EU/EEA law applies, we rely on your consent and our legitimate interest in reading and answering the messages you send us, and on the necessity of operating and securing this website. You can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete prior correspondence.
How we use information
- To answer your questions, support requests, and inquiries.
- To keep the website running, available, and secure, and to prevent abuse.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
What we will never do
- Sell or rent your data, there is nothing to sell.
- Build a profile of your browsing or your struggles.
- Hand your information to advertisers or data brokers.
Sharing and disclosure
We don’t share your personal data except: with the service providers strictly needed to operate (for example, our website host and the email service used to receive your messages), under appropriate safeguards; or where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or TKO’T.
Data retention
Because the apps don’t collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain from them. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold, and on-device data is protected by your device’s own security. That said, no method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children’s privacy
TKO’T is intended to be set up by adults, including parents or guardians protecting someone in their care, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because the blocker runs entirely on-device, using it to protect a minor does not send that minor’s data to us. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
International users
This website is available globally and we keep the data we receive to a minimum. If you contact us from outside the country where our service providers operate, your message may be processed in another country; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for any such transfer.
Private by design
TKO’T is a private, proprietary project. We’ve built it to need as little about you as possible, because the surest way to protect your data is to never collect it in the first place.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above, and make material changes clear here. We will never weaken your privacy quietly.
